As we wrap up the year, we’re excited to share some major updates and invite you to shape the game with your feedback!
Explore the Rules Draft 📖
The draft of our game rules is now available! While the images and formatting are placeholders, the content is ready for your thoughts! Please share your impressions (feel free to comment right on the doc) - your feedback is crucial in refining Legends of the Arena.
A Sneak Peek at the Board 🎨
We’re thrilled to reveal the art for our game board! The board has gone through many, many iterations over the years - a square grid, hexes, triangles within hexes, a ring of cards, and finally a line of cards. We’ve finally hit the right balance between tactical positioning and simplicity.
The entire board is a single piece of immersive top-down battleground art, with the center five spaces designed to be freely re-arranged or rotated - perfectly matching up no matter how you configure them! Read through to the end for more details & images.
Tikkit Takes the Spotlight ⏳
Tikkit’s time-twisting abilities have been rolling out on Instagram! Check out his signature moves:
- “Right About Now” – A time-charged punch that sends foes flying before they can react.
- “Quick Fix” – Add an extra frame to the round, patching in the perfect move.
- “Bullet Time” – Slow down time to dodge projectiles and return fire with precision.
Visit @TothGames to see the art in action! We’ll wrap up Tikkit’s previews in January and then introduce our next character, Fitz - stay tuned! If you can’t wait, some of Fitz’s art is featured in the rules draft.

Looking Ahead
With the rules draft live and the board art revealed, we’re focusing on the final rules layout and print & play demo. Your feedback and support mean everything to us as we bring this game to life.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Have a wonderful holiday season, and we’ll see you in the Arena!
Introducing Flagstone Clearing
Composed of 7 tarot-sized cards, the board is designed for tactical gameplay. Melee attacks only hit foes in your space, and projectiles hit foes at various ranges. Your Legend’s facing matters too; they fire in the direction they face, so a quick foe can dodge by running past.
The two edge cards represent spaces that can’t be occupied - for long. If a Legend is pushed to an edge, they’ll pull themselves back into the fight. However, if a Legend is pushed past an edge they are knocked out! Stray near the edge at your peril.
